The Wildflower Paints pieces blend the simplicity of wildflowers and the daisy fleabane showing through behind with the complexity of the texture and layering of paintings. The wildflowers are captured on camera sometimes over a series between breezes of as many as 20 shots per image near and far but mostly as near as the wild side of my Brookside Dr or, in the case of this piece, Wild Daylily, Boyle Park right in the middle of Little Rock, Arkansas. This Daylily was a surprising and rare find as they don’t typically come with so many layers of brilliant orange petals.
