Portals Mann Building-Early 20th

  • Y. Hope Osborn

This architecture defies the usual sleek lines and consistent black and white tones that are a pleasing part of architectural photography, but wisdom, history, age and, culture grant Portals Through Time that right. For these portals span four centuries from the 16th to 20th centuries and span the North American continent from Antigua, Guatemala to Fort Sewall of Massachusetts, United States. They survive war, earthquake, revolution, and flood and cries of grief, praise, fear, and joy. These Portals Through Time whether grand or humble are our heritage, not just of North America but of every continent who has contributed to them life and talent and has kept them to be brought together for this moment in the 21st century.
