Amanda believes space and spatial elements have a much greater impact on our mental experience than we realise. Amanda sees art as one of the key environmental aspects through which we can influence psychological states as people move through and experience their world.

Her mission is to advance scientific research on aesthetics and creative projects designed specifically with the psyche in mind.

Amanda’s body of work is all about eliciting a mental response - both in herself through the creation and in the viewer who experiences her art.
The ultimate ambition is to facilitate different but specific mental responses from each of her pieces.

For example, the deep, undulating ripples and flows of 'Theta' are designed to elicit a meditative state where the naturally reflective aspects of the resin, invite the viewer into deep mental rumination and healing. Reflecting on the art, and reflecting on the self.

She is also a postgraduate of psychology and is particularly passionate about the newly emerging branch of research focusing on the impact of aesthetics and the visual on our emotional states and behaviour.
