We are living and going through a doom of pandemic with a mixture of negative shivering emotions - frustration, isolation, humiliation, horror….. and many more.
One afternoon, I saw a big black bird fling vigorously ups and downs. The movement was almost shuddering its body, and perhaps its soul too with horror. It reflected on me that we are shuddering ourselves with the time we’ve been going through.
This work captured the wintery late afternoon lights through leaves, and the movement of bird’s shuddering with calligraphical brush work with woodblock print technique.
