Light Into The Valley (Nattai River, Southern Highlands)

When I show this painting to the people I know - in or have lived in Mittagong. They recognize the pool and the valley. I thought that was amazing how people have such lovely memories of their youth jumping off that cliff and swimming in the natural river pool.

My paintings are in a sort of realism style but not. I have a purpose and that is to give my paintings movement through light and colour. A depth with shadow that guides your eye to light.
