As I love to travel and investigate the areas I am in, I try to get a feel for the area. I take particular notice of the Land forms and terrain, also the trees, the colours etc. sometimes I do sketches on site.
When back in the studio, I just start painting. As I paint these images emerge from my subconscious, they begin to appear onto the canvas, usually taking a slightly different format. Or,
sometimes different perspectives evolve, I get lost in it and mostly allow it to have its own life. I work until I am satisfied with the results. This is how these paintings manifested themselves.
