When we don’t live in balance and away from the path of our purpose, we can become ill, sad or angry, lonely, or truly lost, and the longer we are out of balance, the worse things may seem to become. Sometimes we may be in an accident or find ourselves in situations that become quite uncomfortable and even unbearable, often forcing us to make a change to help us find our way back.
When we are extremely angry or upset with others or particular situations, we fall out of balance. When we are greedy and selfish, we fall out of balance. Yet, when we let others take too much of what we are willing to offer and give, we fall out of balance. When we constantly only work and don’t take time to pause and center ourselves, we fall out of balance.
It is rather easy to fall out of balance, but like nature, we must learn to find it. The hawk is often a very serious and solitary creature while the crow tends to be playful and very social, and coming together they remind each other of each of these aspects and to stay in balance with the other, something that is important for us to remember to apply in our lives.
Throughout life we face many different types of challenges. Learning to stay in balance is one of these challenges. And, we must learn be humble and kind even at times when it may be extremely difficult to do so.
Some challenges are simple and easy to handle, and others can be quite difficult to get through. But, it is through these challenges that we grow and come to be who we are meant to be. And, often it is these very challenges that teach us to be truly grateful for the blessings we have received and to enjoy every single moment of beauty that surrounds us along our journeys.
