Wendy Born is a New Jersey–based painter known for her vibrant, textured landscapes that reveal the beauty in everyday moments. Working from direct observation, she captures fleeting light, shadow, and connection—what she calls the everyday sublime. Her richly layered compositions are inspired by local places like Van Vleck Garden and Verona Park.

Wendy balances a thriving studio practice with teaching, driven by her belief that noticing beauty leads to joy and gratitude. Her work invites viewers to slow down, look closely, and feel more connected to the world around them.
