The negative for this print is an image created by the repeated immersion into photographic developer and photographic fixer of a 4x5" piece of expired black and white printing out paper coated in lacquer. As the lacquer resist cracks and erodes, marks are formed on the paper. The work is done in ordinary light, causing the paper to develop color. Once completed, the image was scanned and further enhanced digitally. In this case, the final image was decomposed and used to create an interactive experience featured on AsyncArt.
