  • Artist: Jenny Lynn (American, b. 1953)

Jenny Lynn (1953-) is an American photographer and photo-based artist working in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. After receiving her Bachelor's in photography and painting from the Tyler School of Art, Lynn moved to New York City, where she studied filmmaking at the New York University Graduate School of Film and Television and soon after began working as a freelance photographer. Her work is largely conceptual, with most of her recent pieces being black-and-white snapshots of varying scale. In the artist’s own words, “Drawing upon my backgrounds in painting, photography and film, I ‘use everything’ in my art”. In addition to her work being in the collection of museums such as the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Lynn is still actively working in her Philadelphia-based studio, where she exhibits locally.
