  • Artist: Irving Amen (American , 1918-2011)

Irving Amen was a prolific 20th century American artist. He studied many styles and mediums including oil paint, woodcut/woodblocks, acrylic paint, lithograph, etching, and even sculpture. He was awarded a scholarship to the Pratt Institute at the age of 14. He served with the Armed Forces during World War II and later continued his travels of the world. He taught at the Pratt Institute and Notre Dame University. He was know there for his kind demeanor and love of art.
