A highly detailed scene of a musical assembly, featuring a woman in a white and gold dress at its center playing a guitar with a music book at her right and a violin player at her left, while the audience listen and socialize in the background. A neoclassical sculpture looms over the gathering to the right.
the artist chose to add a whimsical bit of folly to this otherwise very formal setting by having the Violin players stool break beneath him and at this moment we are capturing his fall.
