Yanmei Jiang’s artworks are the rethinking of her gender identity inspired by her experiences of being suppressed by a patriarchal society in China and affected by multi-cultures. She uses her artwork to explore intimate relationships and rebuild herself. She uses drawings, poems, and sculptures to express female energy in space to make herself visible. It is a way to rebuild herself and regain her confidence.
