Born in 1993 in Chongqing, China, Xue Fei graduated from the Oil Painting Department of Sichuan Fine Arts Institute in 2015 with a bachelor's degree. She currently lives and works in Shanghai. Xue Fei's work is inspired by her environment and boundless imagination. She focuses on humans, animals, mythology, psychology, and alien forms, exploring the intrinsic connections between humans and all things. In the blurred space between imagination and reality, she constructs a chaotic and rich world.

In 2021, Xue Fei participated in the Swatch Peace Hotel Art Center residency project in Shanghai. In 2022, she was invited to take part in the 59th Venice Biennale's special project, SWATCH FACES 2022, in the Arsenale, as part of this year's Biennale titled "The Milk of Dreams."
