Wenhao Cai was born in New York City in 2003 and is a current student at RISD in the class of 2026. She primarily works in painting, and sculpture. Her work explores the intersectionality of her identity as Chinese-American and as a woman during the COVID pandemic and the rise in Asian hate crimes.
