  • Artist: Kristian Battell

Kristian Battell (b. 1992, Emerson, NJ) is an artist based in Montclair and Jersey City, NJ. She received her M.F.A. from the School of Visual Arts in 2021 and her B.F.A. from Purchase College in 2014. She had a solo exhibition at the Montclair Art Museum (Montclair, NJ) and Warren Community College (Washington, NJ). Select group exhibitions include the International Print Center of New York (New York, NY), Local Projects (Long Island City, NY), SlowBurn (NYC), Mana Contemporary (Jersey City, NJ), Art150 (Jersey City, NJ), Ely Center of Contemporary Art (New Haven, CT), Ice Cream Social (Port Chester, NY) and the Montclair Art Museum (Montclair, NJ). She has been artist-in-residence at ChaNorth, Frans Masereel Centrum, Newark Print Shop and Index Art Center. She is currently a teaching artist at the Montclair Art Museum, the Visual Art Center of New Jersey, and Frontline Arts.
