Iris Kufert-Rivo is a geometric painter who relies on patterns and repetitions of forms. Using spray paint and stencils, she creates rhythmic, geometric and architectural shapes, and explores questions of place and movement through the language of urban graffiti. Kufert-Rivo reconstructs social, political, and personal upheavals and present them all in her works of geometric forms.
With over 35 years of artistic career, the work of Kufert-Rivo has been exhibited at the Painting Center (NYC), George Billis Gallery (Los Angeles, CA), Dune (NYC), One West End Gallery (NYC), Village One Gallery (NYC), Red Dot Fair at Art Basel (Miami, FL), Newell Gallery (NYC), and the Morris Museum (Morristown, NJ).
