I want my painting to be interesting for a long period of time. Figure ground ambiguity is a major vehicle for me, to paint a kind of visual confusion.
Message
After two and a half years of using the arc as a pattern for style, this work is the culmination. It is all figure-ground ambiguity, and fun to look at. Every figure is a ground, every ground is a figure. A painting of undertones, it is comely and quite.
