I want my painting to be interesting for a long period of time. Figure ground ambiguity is a major vehicle for me, to paint a kind of visual confusion.
Message
A continuation of the arc series. The colors went in a different direction than what I had envisioned. It works. The arc paintings are about finding new color combinations. An orchestration of colors. Sometimes a few colors, sometimes more. From one to six coats. Each coat is a glaze, and changes the color a little - or a lot. Each coat is a step toward harmony.
