U.S. Army uniform trousers worn and owned by Dr. Earnest E. Gregory Jr.

Earnest E. Gregory Jr. graduated from Union Kempsville High School in 1968. From 1968-1971 he served in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War from 1969-1970. During his time of service, he won several awards including the Bronze Star, Air Medal, and the National Defense Service Medal.

Description of garment:
Army green wool and polyester men’s military uniform trousers with fly front, 4 pockets, and 7 belt loops.

Intentional creases are along center front and center back of both pant legs.
Welt pocket on each side of back of trousers. Side pockets on each side of pant.
Plastic army green button below back welt pocket on right side of pant.
White pocket linings inside.
Stamp on pocket lining shows the number “12” inside a circle.

Tag along interior waistband reads “Trousers, Men’s polyester/ wool serge AG-344 Class 6/ DLA 100-91-C0373/ 60% polyester 40% wool/ 39R/ 8405-01-105-4710/ Tennessee Apparel Corp.”

Another label sewn into trousers reads,
“Trousers, Men’s,
Dress, Wool and Polyester/Wool
1. Dry Clean Only
2. Treated for permanent creasing
3. Press On Same Crease Line. Press/Iron Temperature With Steam Shall Be 325 +/- 6 F or Wool Setting With Steam.
4. Undesired Crease Line May Be Removed By Steam.”
