British-American photographer. Born in Mexico City in 1970, Leong spent his childhood in London, Mexico, and the United States and now lives and works in New York City. He studied at the Art Center College of Design, received a B.A. in photography from the University of California, Berkeley in 1993 and continued to receive a Master’s degree from Harvard University in 1998. Leong’s work examines urban landscapes through photography. He is well known for his collection titled History Images that examines the erasure of history as a consequence of constructing new city landscapes and communities.
