Artist: Wendy Watriss (American, b. 1943)
American photographer. Worked as an international photojournalist and documentary photographer, covering stories for Newsweek and The New York Times. In 1982, won the World Press and Oskar Barnack Leica Awards for her photodocumentation of Agent Orange. Received artist fellowships from The National Endowment for the Humanities, the Rockefeller Foundation and the National Endowment for the Arts. Along with Fred Baldwin, established FotoFest International as a new platform for photographers and other artists.
