Artist: Todd Webb (American, 1905-2000)
American photographer. Webb served as a Navy photographer and has photographed under Fortune magazine, Roy Struker, Standard Oil, and the United Nations. He was influenced by Ansel Adams, Alfred Stieglitz, and Dorothy Norman. He received a Guggenheim fellowship to photograph immigrant trails from Missouri to California. Other notable projects include photographing Texas's 19th century architecture. Overall, he is recognized for his humanist approach in portraying intimacy and curiosity between history, places, and people.
