Caribbean-American illustrator. Approaches her work as a visual anthropologist. Catalogues her own experiences, both public and private, growing up in a society obsessed with particular notions of beauty. Born in Kingston, Jamaica, and received her BFA from The School of the Art Institute of Chicago, in 1995 and a MFA from Yale School of Art, Yale University in 2003. She lives and works in Newark, New Jersey.
