Roland Watts (1931–2012) was an American printmaker renowned for his exceptional woodblock prints, earning recognition as one of the best in the southeastern United States. He earned a Master of Science degree from A&T College and a Master of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro. Watts served as a professor of Fine Arts at Winston-Salem State University for 39 years, where he created the Chancellor's Mace. The University also holds the artist's archives and large collection of his art.
