Born in 1942 in Bronxville, New York, is known for his minimalist styled sculptures, prints, and watercolors. He received a bachelor's degree at the University of South Florida and a master's degreee in studio art at the University of Maryland. His work has been featured in solo exhibitions in museums such as the Corcoran Gallery of Art in Washington, D.C. Stackhouse has described his sculpture as a result of twisting two-dimensional planes into thee dimensions. The reverse could also be argued; many of the subjects of his two-dimensional work appear to occupy three-dimensional space.
