American painter based in Western North Carolina. Is known for intricate paintings representing diverse flora and fauna. Received BS degree from the University of Louisville, KY, and MFA from Mills College, CA. He is the recipient of numerous awards and grants including the National Endowment for the Arts' Southern Arts Federation Grant. He has exhibited internationally at venues including the North Carolina Museum of Art, the Morris Museum of Art, and the Chrysler Art Museum.
