Artist: Reva Urban (American, 1925-1987)
Reva Urban (1925–1987) was an American painter and graphic artist born in Brooklyn, New York and attended the Art Students League on a Carnegie fellowship. Starting in 1958, Urban exhibited her work both nationally and internationally, and she represented the United States at the Salzburg Festival. Her art is featured in numerous public and private collections, including the Museum of Modern Art in New York, the University Art Museum in Berkeley, the Art Institute of Chicago, Finch College Museum of Art, Illinois University Museum, Avethorp Gallery in Jenkintown, PA, the Grunwald Graphic Arts Foundation in California, and the Fine Arts Gallery of San Diego, California.
