American illustrator, painter, and sculptor. Heavily inspired by African American blues and jazz culture, as well as cubism. He was influential in Portland's artistic movement throughout the 1970s. He received the 2009 Lifetime Achievement Award from North Portland’s Interstate Firehouse Cultural Center.
