Artist: Peter Agostini (Italian-American, 1913-1993)
American sculptor. Agostini began his studies in art at the Leonardo da Vinci Art School in his childhood. He later moved to New York, where he created works that had major influences on abstract expressionism and the American pop art movement. He worked as a sculpture and painting professor in Columbia University, New York Studio School, Parsons School of Design and the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Throughout his career as a sculptor, he had more than 25 one-man shows and was a part of more than 100 group shows.
