Artist: Pamela Phatsimo Sunstrum
(Batwana, b. 1980)
Batwana mixed media artist. Based in Ontario, Canada and Johannesburg, South Africa. Received a BA in International Studies from UNC Chapel Hill and a Masters of Fine Art from the Maryland Institute College of Art. She works in a variety of media, including drawing, painting, digital art, and installations to create complex landscapes and explore topics related to culture, mythology, and the universe.
