Artist: Norman Lundin (American, b. 1938)
American painter. Based in Seattle. Primarily interested in the negative spaces of a painting and works in multiple styles such as realistic still lifes, landscapes, and figure drawings. Lundin received his BA from School of the Art Institute of Chicago and MFA from University of Cincinnati. He spent a year studying in Oslo, Norway, on a Fulbright Grant for painting in 1963. Lundin has been a faculty member of the School of Art at the University of Washington since 1964. His works have been shown in numerous places, some notable ones being San Francisco Museum of Art, the New York Museum of Modern Art, and the Whitney Museum of American Art.
