  • Artist: Linda Plotkin (American, b. 1938)

American printmaker and painter. Plotkin graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee and earned her M.F.A. at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York. She has had several solo exhibitions; her first exhibition was in 1979 at the G.W. Einstein Gallery in New York, NY. Other exhibitions were group exhibitions such as the Boston Printmakers North American Print Exhibition. Apart from public works like book and brochure covers made for the Fashion District Arts Festival in 2011 and “Four Sublets” by Myra Shapiro, Plotkin’s works can be found at the Boston Public Library, the Art Institute of Chicago, the Yale University Museum of Art and many other museums.
