Artist: Leonard McComb (British, b. 1930)
British painter and sculptor. McComb studied at the Manchester School of Art, then at the Slade School of Fine Art (1956-1960). His paintings depict visual abstractions of nature, including detailed portrayals of figures, flowers, landscapes, still lifes, and waves, all of which he considers portraits. He is known for a portrait of novelist Doris Lessing and a sculpture titled "Portrait of a Young Man Standing".
