British visual artist and broadcast film-maker. Along with John Berger, Christie co-authored the book, I Send You This Cadmium Red. Christie also collaborated with John Berger and Jean Mohr for a BBC series on photography called the Salvage of a Soho Photographer. Has made many other documentaries and films including 40 Years of Modern Art. Christie is also known for his geometric and reductionist prints and drawings. Christie's prints, drawings and artists’ books have been featured in collections across the world, in venues such as the Tate Gallery, the Yale Center for British Art and the National Library of Australia. He also helped found the East Anglian publisher Full Circle Editions and the annual FlipSide literary and music festival.
