American printmaker and woodcutter. Monson attended the University of Iowa and studied printmaking under Mauricio Lasansky, then moved to Paris to work under Stanley William Hayter as his assistant and printer. He has been the Assistant Professor of Printmaking at Carleton College, St. Olaf’s College, and the College of the Holy Cross, but returned to Southern France in 1985 to work.
