  • Artist: Jeffrey Maron (American, b. 1949)

American sculptor, painter, jewelry-maker, and furniture-maker. Maron graduated from Washington University in St. Louis (1973) with an MFA in Fine Arts (sculpture) and a BS in Sociology. Having lived in Japan, he was influenced by the idea of animism and "the worship of an inclusive natural order." His work is abstract, utilizing organic colors and geometric line, and is meant to be a connection to the spiritual identity.
