  • Artist: Jaume Plensa (Catalan Spanish, b. 1955)

Spanish artist and sculptor. Plensa is best known for designing the Crown Fountain at Millennium Park in Chicago, Illinois. He has also worked on other commissioned works such as Blake in Gateshead in North East England and Breathing in London which is dedicated to journalists killed in the field and El alma del Ebro for the Intertational Exposition in Zaragoza. His most recent works include Echo, which was displayed in Madison Square Park in Manhattan, and Laura, a 32-ton sculpture in the Albright-Knox Art Gallery in Buffalo, New York.
