Irish-American figurative artist most renown for his works and techniques in painting, printmaking, and sculpture. Coughlin completed his studies at the Rhode Island School of Design and Arts Students League of New York, and taught printmaking at University of Massachusetts Amherst. His works have been showcased in respected collections, such as in the Metropolitan Museum and Museum of Modern Art in New York.
