Born in Brooklyn, New York and is currently active in New York City. Attended the Parson school of Design and later the Pratt Institute in New York. Earned his M.F.A. from the San Francisco Art Institute. Received a Guggenheim Fellowship and a National Endowment for the Arts among other accolades and awards. Has had solo exhibitions both nationally and internationally at the Mary Boone Gallery in New York, the Galeria Fernando Alcolea in Barcelona, Spain, the Kienzle Art Foundation in Berlin, Germany and many other institutions.
