Artist: Elizabeth Bradford Millsaps (American)
American painter and writer. Millsaps was born in North Carolina, where she received a B.A. from University of North Carolina and studied lithography and painting at Davidson College (1975, 1982). Through her art, she explores the natural world and focuses on her rural life in the south. Her work involves complex nature patterns and is defined by her sense of color, having roots in abstraction, the Pattern and Decoration Movement, and Pop Art. She was included in the US State Departments Art in Embassies Program and was the featured artist for North Carolina’s first statewide Women’s Conference.
