  • Artist: David Taylor (American, b. 1967)

American photographer. Received BFA from Tufts University and MFA from the University of Oregon. Photographs, installations, and artist's books explore the connections between and issues surrounding place, territory, history, and politics. He has spent time along the United States Mexico border, photographing the monuments that mark the boundary between the two countries in order to bring awareness to the complex physical, social, and political histories embedded in that landscape. His work has been exhibited at Harvard University, the Museum of Contemporary Photography at Columbia College, The New Mexico Museum of Art, the Nevada Museum of Art, among others and is held in numerous collections.
