  • Artist: David Schofield (American)

American illustrator. Schofield is known for his large, highly detailed drawings of buildings. His first subjects were private homes and churches in the Chicago suburb where he grew up, followed by Manhattan cityscape. His first solo show was in 1979, age 21, in Key West where he established his studio and has live in and drawn in since. His drawings include “secondary elements” that deviate from a perfect rendering of the subject including graffiti, litter, visual puns, and references to his family/friends/travels/etc.
