  • Artist: Charles Andrew Taylor (1910-1975)

Charles Andrew Taylor (1910–1975) was an American painter, born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He was known particularly for genre scenes and town-landscapes—depictions of daily life and built environments, often with rural or small-town character. His media included oil, watercolor, and charcoal, and he worked as an easel painter. Taylor was connected with art associations such as the American Watercolor Society, Salmagundi Club in New York City, and the Audubon Society of Artists; his work was exhibited with those groups as well as in venues like the Carnegie Institute, Corcoran Gallery, and the Art Institute of Chicago.
