American photographer. Investigates the idea of community and challenges powerful social structures through her work, which is both conceptual and documentary. Received a BFA from the San Francisco Art Institute and an MFA from the California Institute of Fine Art and is currently based in Los Angeles, California. Utilizes portraiture, landscape, and studio photography to explore the intersectionality of identity and relationships and the subculture of varying communities; she particularly examines queer identities. Her work is provocative, authentic, and confrontational, and has gained recognition from numerous, major art institutions.
