Irish photographer and filmmaker. MacWeeney studied in Paris, beginning his career at age 20. His photographs generally depict interiors, countrysides, portraits, and inner lives that convey a wide array of emotions which range from humorous to dramatic. He utilizes simplistic portraiture, paired with a skilled sense of composition and use of light. He directed a full-length documentary called Traveller (2001).
