Abraham Storck was a Dutch painter born in Amsterdam and the son of the painter Jan Jansz Sturck (1606-1652). He was trained by his father in the family workshop, along with two older brothers. After his training, he joined the Guild of Saint Luke and set up hisĀ own workshop in 1666. Storck is known for marine paintings, topographical views, Italianate harbour scenes, and German landscapes along the Rhine, while also including spectators and passengers.
