Lilac Moonlight brings the forces of the moonlight to play with masses of glorious lilacs scenting the air in late Spring and Early Summer. Dreamy, heady with promises of marvelous days to come.

From the series, Embracing Shadow, inspired by images from the Hubble telescope showing the mysteries of our universe. Cosmic nebulae formed from massive clouds of gases reflect light in varying wavelengths giving them fantastic color, all the while exposing the distant deep dark where no light escapes.

Embracing Shadow is about accepting the deep darkness we see in ourselves and around us, for without the dark, we would not be able to see the light we carry within.

The silver leaf is the magic of the mysteries, brighter than any light it is everlasting and infinite.

When I paint, I am connected to the shadow and the light, the infinite creative force in the universe. It is showing me the way.
