I asked my friend Elham if there was anything I could do to support her during the nationwide protests in Iran against the country’s hijab laws. She told me to design a poster to continue to bring international attention to support the protest. For this poster, I created the words “women, life, freedom,” using my own hair to honor the many Iranian women who are exposing their hair or chopping it off in acts of brave defiance.
