The ad campaign, titled Finding Her, created by DDB Dubai for UN Women Egypt, was designed to draw attention to the lack of women in the Egyptian workforce, which is only 23% female. The series of three illustrations created by the Japanese duo IC4Design illustrate the primarily male-dominated industry workplaces of science, technology, and politics with only one woman. “Even though the percentage of women in the workforce is so low, the issue still goes largely unnoticed. By creating these elaborate ads that you really spend time looking at, we wanted to raise awareness for the cause.” —Firas Medrows, executive creative director at DDB Dubai.
